Jessica Romero, School Director
Welcome to your home away from home. My name is Jessica Romero and I’ve been the director of this school since 2009. I have been in Early Childhood Education for that last 15 years and passionately love it. I strongly believe that a child will achieve great potential if given the right tools at an early stage in life. I was born and raised in Laredo TX. I am a proud mom of two beautiful children who enjoy soccer, gymnastics, and basketball. When I am not at school, I enjoy helping out in our wonderful community. Our school is nested inside the Wildhorse subdivision just minutes outside Loop 1604 and Braun Rd. Our preschool has been recognized for outstanding childcare and superior customer service. We are proud to say that our teachers have over 85 years of combined experience in early childhood education. Our biggest reward is to create a memorable experience for you and your children I look forward in meeting your entire family and hope that you become part of our Cadence Academy Preschool family.

Ashley Ann Alderete, Teacher
Hi my name is Ashley Ann Alderete. This is my fifth year teaching at Cadence Education with the Wiggle Worms. I have lived in San Antonio, Texas my entire life and attended some college at North West Vista. When I'm not with my wiggle worms, I'm at home with my five year old son, Landen. He's my miracle baby, who also graduated preschool at Cadence. My favorite thing about being a teacher is seeing all my precious smiles every morning and witnessing the growth within each child during the school year. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing, loving environment where children can learn and experience new challenges.
Ana Hinojosa, Teacher
For the past 15 years, I have been in the childcare industry. I developed a passion for teaching when I was in high school in Laredo, Texas. I was taking an early childhood development class and from there, my passion unfolded. I am proud to say that I am currently one of the Pre-K teachers here and I'm going on my 8th year in May. At times, I step into the office to assist the directors. Also, these past few summers, I've been coordinating the summer program for the school agers. My goal as a teacher is to help my children blossom to the best of their abilities by always making learning fun!
Gloria Quinn, Teacher
I am a mother of 3 grown children and grandmother of 2. I work in the nursery 2 with babies whose age range from 10-17 months. I find my job very rewarding because I know that I make a difference in my students lives. In my spare time I love to play bingo and spend time with my grandchildren.
Janelle Ruggs, Teacher
I began my position here in the 15 month to 2-year-old classroom. After 3 years working with toddlers, I was offered the opportunity to work with the 3-year-olds. It was quite the transition but an experience I was sure I could handle. Although the age gap is small, the change is great. The class is much more inquisitive and excited to learn that they challenge me to keep giving them new information that was not always on curriculum. My greatest joy is when I hear them singing or repeating things they have learned in class during their own free time. I have enjoyed working with children as far back as I can remember. Like many I started baby-sitting while I was still attending O.W. Holmes here in San Antonio. As a native I feel a responsibility to encourage the growth of the children in our community. I have now been working with children in a professional manner for almost 15 years. I have spanning from after school care programs to Pre-K Assistant and Physical Education Assistant. My formal education is an A.A.S. in Medical Assisting. I believe that both health care and children are both a calling to me. In either profession I am encouraged to be calm, patient, and prepared for anything. I am blessed to be able to continue to grow personally along with this company.
