Heather Emerick, Director
I started my Cadence Academy journey at our Gig Harbor center, then moved as director to our small Olympia center. I transferred to Tacoma in May of 2010. I have been in childcare for more than 15 years and have had a management/administration position for about 9 of those. I have my Early Childhood Education degree as well as my AA degree. I have worked with all ages from infants to school age, but my passion is preschoolers. I have four children who all attend the center here with me. My husband, kids and I live in Graham. We enjoy snowboarding, road trips, being outside and watching movies.
Tina Harding, Teacher
My name is Christina, but everyone except my husband calls me Tina. I am married to the love of my life and we have two wonderful children. I just recently moved from Gig Harbor (where I was at the Gig Harbor Cadence Academy) to join the Tacoma Cadence Academy center team. I enjoy taking care of your precious little ones and I always strive to be there for them when they need comforting or to just laugh and play.
Miriam Robles, Teacher
I first started working at Dreamland Infant Center in Santa Monica, CA as a teacher’s aid, I worked there for 10 years. I attended Los Angeles Community College and received 12 units in Child Development. I then moved to Washington in 2004. I have also completed the Washington STARS training program in which you learn how to ensure quality care for children. I love babies and have been working at Cadence Academy since 2005 in the Ladybug Room with the infants. My hobbies are dancing and singing for my babies.
