Meet our Preschool Educators
Kadi Juris, Director
I began my employment here at Cadence in 2004 after graduating from Illinois State University with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. As a new graduate, I was eager to get into the classroom and start working with young children. As the years have passed, I find that I still have the same enthusiasm for working with children and their families.
I was recently granted the opportunity to go back to school to earn my Master's in Teaching and Learning. I believe that each child holds endless possibilities when given a stimulating and supportive environment. Working at Cadence Academy grants me the opportunity to play a positive role in the development of the children in our center. I am in awe of how quickly young children grow and develop.
Carol Hepner, Assistant Director
I've been working in early childhood education for over 20 years and with Cadence since 2005. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University with a Certificate of Enforcement in Early Childhood Special Education.
I have experience with many different age groups and working with children has become part of who I am as a person. I enjoy being a part of experiences that make lasting impressions on young children. I believe that something special can be created out of everyday events. My job allows me to participate in learning opportunities with children that foster their love of curiosity and exploration. I also enjoy using my experience to be a mentor and support to our teaching staff. Our goal is to help children feel successful to promote a life long love of learning.
I live on a hobby farm with my husband and four children about 30 minutes from Normal. We enjoy showing pygmy goats and I also help judge competitions all over the US.
